reds add wade miley to roster recovery from surgery underway
According to the reports the Cincinnati Reds have signed veteran left-hander Wade Miley to a minor league contract. The deal includes a prorated $2.5 million base salary if he reaches the majors, with performance-based incentives that could push his earnings to $4 million.
Miley is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery. He went through this surgery in April 2024. He is targeting a return to action by mid-to-late May. The Reds who previously had Miley on their roster from 2020-21 are adding him as a depth option despite a seemingly set rotation led by Hunter Greene, Brady Singer, and Nick Lodolo.
