Real Madrid not pursuing Kylian Mbappé anymore!
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has cleared the air on Mbappé’s potential transfer to the Spanish club, according to goal.com. Putting an end to all the speculation, Perez confirmed to the media the club will not be pursuing the signing of the French footballer this summer.
The news came as a shock to those who were eagerly waiting for the French forward’s potential move to Real Madrid. Mbappé has been in the midst of intense transfer rumours following his announcement on a decision to not extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
With only a year remaining on his existing agreement, PSG might soon be compelled to consider transferring the footballer in order to avoid losing him for free.
While Real Madrid used to be among clubs intensely linked to Mbappé’s transfer rumours, Perez’s announcement has put an end to those speculations. It seems the Spanish giants have shifted their focus and will not be chasing the French star this summer.
Nevertheless, despite the uncertainty surrounding his future in PSG, Kylian Mbappé continues to be a key figure for both the club and the French national team. He will continue representing France in their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.
With Real Madrid choosing to drop out of the chase, it will be interesting to see which club will be successful in securing the services of the talented forward. Meanwhile, the Spanish club has dropped another substantial announcement as well.
It has revealed the signing of Spanish attacker Joselu Mato, who joins Real Madrid on a year-long loan agreement with an option for the club to buy him permanently at the end of the deal. However, it looks like the club would still need to sign another striker as well.
