Everton Football Club has parted ways with manager Sean Dyche after a challenging season, leaving the team in a precarious position in the Premier League.
The manager Sean Dyche joined the Toffees earlier in 2023. Initially stabilized the team with a strong defensive record but the struggles with attacking and recent defeats to Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town have pushed the club to make a managerial change.
Everton’s new owners, the Friedkin Group had been evaluating role of Dyche. To keep themselves in the Premier League team decided quickly to change manager, as the team is just one point above the relegation zone in 16th place.
Leighton Baines who is the head coach of Under-18s of Everton and club captain Seamus Coleman will take charge of the team for tonight’s FA Cup match against Peterborough United.
The question who will be the next manager is still a mystery. Several names are in the queue like former Everton boss David Moyes, Brentford’s Thomas Frank, and England U21 manager Lee Carsley.
Next league of Everton match will be important as they continued their battle to avoid relegation in Premier League.
