5 Holidays Announced by President Marcos Jr: Full Dates List

After work-life and cultural holidays, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. introduced Proclamation No. 1006 (Sept 3, 2025) on the regular holidays and special non-working days in 2026. There are regular holidays that require paid leave; special days are optional with the employer. Significant holidays form long weekends such as Labor Day (Fri May 1), Independence Day (Fri Jun 12). The region-specific breaks are added by six new local holidays (Proclamation 1162, Feb 9, 2026). Complete list through Malacañang; Eid dates are provisional after moon sighting.
