Nick Jonas Breaks Silence on Golden Globes Walk-Out: “It Hit Me Like a Gut Punch”

Nick Jonas, the well-known American pop celebrity, has caused some online discussion after making a brief appearance outside at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, but the singer has now openly clarified the reason. Jonas had been photographed in a video shot by Parade, taking a break during the ceremony to drink water and calm down. When one of his fans on X theorized that maybe it was social anxiety, Jonas corroborated the idea and said, “Yep, that was like a gut punch to me.

The commentary was reminiscent of some lines in his recent single Gut Punch that discuss self-criticism and emotional vulnerability. The support messages poured in the comments very quickly as fans praised Jonas because of his honesty. Being a vocal advocate of mental health and a type 1 diabetes patient, Jonas has always underlined the significance of emotional health. He had earlier in the evening looked calm in a black Berluti pinstriped tuxedo, but his backstage moment was experienced on an entirely different level than fashion: reminding us of the truth of anxiety, even during the largest Hollywood event of the year.
