NFL Week 1: Match Schedule, Team Highlights and Where to Watch

The 2025 NFL season starts on Thursday, September 4, and the first week is going to be amazing for football fans. The first round of games sets the tone for an exciting season ahead, with fierce rivals and big games played all over the world. Here is a full list of the matches, the main plots, and the places where you can watch the action.

Thursday Night Starter

At 8:20 PM ET, the Dallas Cowboys play the Philadelphia Eagles in the first game of the season. This matchup is one of the most-anticipated season starts in recent memory. It will be shown live on NBC and streamed on Peacock.

Brazil on a Friday night

On September 5, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers will play in São Paulo, Brazil. This game will go down in history. Fans from all over the world can watch the game for free on YouTube for the first time ever. The game starts at 8:00 PM ET. To watch it outside of the U.S., you can use NFL+ or DAZN to stream NFL Game Pass.

Showdowns on Sunday

On Sunday, at 1:00 p.m. ET, there are a lot of games on FOX, CBS, and YouTube at the same time. Fans can watch games between the Dolphins vs. Colts, the Panthers vs. Jaguars, the Raiders vs. Patriots, the Cardinals vs. Saints, the Steelers vs. Jets, and the Giants vs. Commanders.

Paramount+ is the only place to watch some CBS-only games, like Dolphins vs. Colts, Raiders vs. Patriots, Cardinals vs. Saints, and Steelers vs. Jets. The Steelers-Jets game gets even more exciting when football great JJ Watt starts calling the game.

Both the 49ers vs. Seahawks and the Titans vs. Broncos games will start at 4:05 PM ET on FOX and YouTube after lunch. Lions vs. Packers and Texans vs. Rams are both shown on CBS at 4:25 PM ET and can be watched on Paramount+.

The last game of the day on Sunday is at 8:20 PM ET, live on NBC and Peacock. It is between the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills.

Monday Night Football

A game between the Vikings and the Bears at 8:15 p.m. ET on September 8 will wrap up the first week. ESPN has also planned longer coverage during the week, such as NFL Live, Monday Night Countdown, and an in-depth review of games after they happen.
