Musk Says His Politics Are All About Getting Humans to Mars

Twitter user asked Elon Musk, the richest man in the world who is the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla if his increase in political activity is associated with a desire to fund colonization on Mars, to which Musk replied affirmatively. In response to a post by X user Dima Zeniuk not only noted this relation but also stated that he thinks Donald Trump’s win will greatly affect humanity’s mission to Mars and the creation of a multi-planetary civilization.

SpaceX’s Vision for Mars Settlement

Musk’s aerospace company SpaceX also stays on the same page when colonizing Mars, noting that the Earth needs to become a spacefaring civilization. The website of the company also has a quote from Musk: ‘The future belongs to those who do what the others don’t even dare to dream of: ‘wake up every morning and venture out to explore among the stars’. This vision is far from simple rambling; it is a vision of the future based on the belief in the infinite perfectibility of humankind.

The said objectives are strategic for the aerospace company and are a true vision of Musk and his desire to make humans permanently settle on Mars as a survival strategy for the human race. This correlation between SpaceX’s corporate vision and Musk’s political endeavors shows that there is much planning for these interplanetary objectives.

Mars: Earth’s Next Home?

Currently, Mars appears to be the most suitable for people’s settlement on the planet among all the possibilities, as SpaceX described. Its thin and dry atmosphere constituted of CO2 with nitrogen and argon makes it conducive for horticulture through atmospheric pressure. This scientific knowledge is the basis for SpaceX’s colonization plan.

Physically, the Earth, with a gravity of 38%, supports human adaptation in terms of movement and construction. Another factor that makes the notion of Mars and humans living side by side more realistic is that Mars Day is the same as Earth Day.
