America First? Trump Ends DEI and Welcomes Back Unvaccinated Troops

US 47th President Donald Trump is set to sign executive orders eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the U.S. military.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed this news today during a talk with a CNN reporter. He said along with plans to reinstate thousands of service members who were discharged for refusing COVID-19 vaccinations during the pandemic.

Hegseth announced “There are more executive orders coming”.

When Hegseth was entering the White House, Air Force General C.Q. Brown, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff welcomed him. When asked about potential leadership changes, Hegseth responded lightheartedly, saying, “He’s standing right next to me.”

These steps by the Trump administration show their approach to ‘ Americas First’. This will bring a reform in military policies and maybe in the coming days, we can witness a few big changes from the controversial pandemic-era decisions which were made by Biden.

Who is Hegseth?

Hegseth was previously working with Fox News. He secured enough votes to become the next defense secretary.
