mike tyson vs. jake paul fight rescheduled for november 15 in texas
The fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has been moved to November 15. This fight will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This much-anticipated fight was postponed due to health concerns of Tyson. He has experienced an ulcer flare-up.
According to reports Tyson became unwell during a flight in May requiring medical assistance. Now, he’s preparing to resume training expressing gratitude to his medical team and fight organizers for finding a new date. Tyson is confident, saying, “The result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.”
The fight will be held at the 80,000-capacity AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. For viewers in the UK, it will stream exclusively on Netflix, requiring a subscription.
The undercard is stacked, featuring Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano in a highly anticipated rematch, along with H2O Sylve vs. ‘Kid Austin’ Floyd Schofield, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Darren Till.
Tyson, who hasn’t fought professionally since 2005, had a comeback exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. Despite his age, he’s been training regularly and seems determined to make a statement in this fight.
Jake Paul, 27, a YouTube star turned boxer, is confident and eager for the challenge, saying, “When he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish.”
Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored. With Texas officials sanctioning the bout as an official eight-round fight, it promises to be an exciting night for fans both in-person and watching live on Netflix.
