The trailer dives into the story of Honey O’Donahue, a small town private investigator who follows a thread of murders connected to a mysterious cult-like church headed by a debaucherous pastor played by Chris Evans, who is sleazy. Aubrey Plaza plays the role of a police officer who has a side crush for Qualley and later the two women work together to unravel the secrets behind the cult and the murders.

The rest of the cast includes Billy Eichner, Lera Abova, Jacnier, Gabby Beans, Talia Ryder, Kristen Connolly, Lena Hall, Don Swayze, Josh Pafchek, Kale Browne, Alexander Carstoiu, and Christian Antidormi.

Shot in New Mexico in 2024, Coen’s signature style is reflected from ‘Drive -Away Dolls’ to the dark comedy that is set to release on 22 August 2025. Before getting its grand big time release under Universal Studios, ‘Honey Don’t’ will have its first watch at the Cannes 2025 Midnight Screening Session. Coen and his wife Tricia Cooke are also producing the film with Robert Graf and Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner of Working Titles.
