Lorde releases ‘What Was That’ – Her first single after Four Years

Singer Lorde, known for her unique style of pop music, has dropped her single ‘What was that’ after four years. The singer’s unconventional and unplanned way of announcing her return turned heads and certainly the police in New York as the singer gathered her fans in the middle of the park in New York and played the recording of her song. 

The release is after days of teasing about the single, and also released a video of her riding a bicycle around New York and footage of her performance in Washington Square Park. ‘What Was That’ is produced by Lorde in tie up with Jim- E Stack and celebrated producer Year Dan Nigro.

After ‘Solar Power’ that was released in 2021, ‘What Was That’ marks Lorde’s return to the pop world. Her other collaborations including one with Charlie xcx’s ‘Girl, so confusing’ was a huge hit. 

Videos of Lorde’s gathering at the New York garden are going viral with users and fans who left the first time the cops intervened to get the situation under control also reacting about the night.
