Declared that the federal government will recognise only two genders (male and female). Trump has designated drug cartels as foreign terrorist organisations. Issued pardons for 1,500 people convicted or criminally charged in the Jan. 6 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He closed federal cases against various supporters. Declared a national emergency on the US-Mexico border and he plans to send U.S. troops to help support immigration agents. Moved to change birthright citizenship. Paused Congress’ TikTok ban for 75 days. Ordered a comprehensive review of US foreign aid spending. Halted federal hiring, except for the military and unspecified areas of government.
