Lebanese Politician Urges Hezbollah to Disarm Amid Rising Regional Tensions

In a recent interview with LBCI news channel of Lebanon former MP Fares Souaid warned about growing military tensions in the Middle East. Souaid believes the region is heading towards a critical phase. He also stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might try to use it to gain an advantage in negotiations.

He warned that Israel might use this as an opportunity to strengthen its position in middle east. Souaid explained that Netanyahu seems to be working to strengthen their military position of its nation, which could allow him to negotiate from a place of greater strength. He also expressed concern about Lebanon’s rising security risks.

Souaid urged Hezbollah to integrate back into Lebanon’s political framework by surrendering its weapons to the Lebanese state, as outlined in the Lebanese constitution. He warned that if Hezbollah does not disarm, it risks losing its weapons through military force, potentially at the hands of Israel.

The recent interview of Souaid reflects growing concerns in Middle East and the worsening situation in Lebanon. The whole region is facing instability, and many leaders are calling for solutions that prioritize the security and unity of the nations. But at the same time, this interview also indicates that bringing peace in middle east will take time as Israel is not in mood to settle for less. It will be spectacular to watch, how the new president of United States will stand and what impact it will bring on the critical situation of middle east.
