Kamala Harris Rallies in Texas, Warns of National Abortion Ban

Vice President Kamala Harris gathered over 20,000 supporters in Houston, Texas, to stress the importance of abortion rights. Kamala Harris the Democratic nominee cautioned that former President Donald Trump’s decisions, especially his appointment of conservative Supreme Court justices, have created a crisis for reproductive health by overturning Roe v. Wade.

Harris’s Warning of a National Abortion Ban

As reported by Fox News, In the rally Kamala Harris warned citizens that Trump could impose a national abortion ban. She stated that, “No one is protected,” even in states with current protections. She stressed that a national ban would impact every state affecting women’s reproductive freedoms nationwide.

Texas is a strong point of conservative. Though Trump has promised to veto a national ban some supporters are pushing for further restrictions.

Harris highlighted how abortion bans have reduced healthcare options for women and led to fewer medical students specializing in women’s health.

Superstar Beyoncé who is a Houston native voiced her support for Democrats nominee Kamala Harris at the rally. She said, “I’m here as a mother.” Addressing reproductive rights, she urged America to “sing a new song” and praised women’s resilience and strength.
