Hungary and UAE Strengthen Ties in Trade, Space, and Technology

Hungary and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the two most important and are taking their partnership to its new heights with better and much stronger cooperation in the area of trade, space, defence including technology. This momentum is following high-level discussions between Respected Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, where they shared vision for deeper collaboration for future betterment.

For this collaboration both Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó had a meeting with the UAE’s Minister of Foreign Trade so that they can advance new opportunities and make it better. This talk was built on recent successes in bilateral trade, which is growing by an impressive percentage of 24%. On the other hand Hungary exported over 1,000 tons of cheese along with 15 tons of medicine to the UAE in all the past year which is demonstrating growing demand for Hungarian products in Gulf markets.

The two nations are opening their new areas of cooperation with each other. In this collaboration, Defence and telecommunications are emerging because they are sharing priorities. Both governments view science and technology collaboration as growth for the future.

Connectivity is also very important central in this partnership. Hungarian airline Wizz Air has already resumed their flights to the UAE, they are now operating on 20 services per week which is directly linked with Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The expanded air network supports business along with tourism, and cultural exchange, while they are also offering new gateways for Hungarian companies into Middle Eastern markets.
