Greta Gerwig’s ‘Narnia’ has these stunning set of Cast – From Carey Mulligan to Daniel Craig

Netflix is looking to nab Carey Mulligan to play a role in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Narnia’, an adaptation of C.S Lewis’ ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ franchise. Following the story from the sixth novel of the series – ‘The Magician’s Nephew’. 

Greta Gerwig is writing and directing the script which already has a stellar cast of Meryl Streep, Danial Craig, Emma Mackay while now the multiple academy award nominee Carey Mulligan is in talks to play an important role. The production is yet to set out for casting the younger characters. 

A prequel to the infamous ‘The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe’ and follows the story of two youngsters who dabbling with their uncle’s magic unleashes the White Witch into 20th century London. Greta Gerwig has fought the studios and streaming partner to slip a 2 week theatrical window for the movie to be screened in theatres in 2026. 

Danial Craig, the former James Bond will be playing the Uncle while Emma Mackay was recently cast as the evil White Witch. The versatile actress Meryl Streep will be voicing the Aslan, the talking Lion and the one who creates Narnia as the King of Kings.

Now Carey Mulligan known for her titles ‘The Great Gatsby’, ‘Far From the Madding Crowd’ is said to be playing the very sick mother of Digory, one of the two curious teenagers. While no official comment from the Streaming production is confirmed, the project is still in the casting stage, reports The Hollywood Reporter

A three time Academy Award winner, Carey Mulligan has a diverse body of work including the award winning titles – ‘Maestro’, ‘Promising Young Woman’ and ‘An Education’. Netflix’s ‘Narnia’ will have Mark Gordon, Amy Pascal and Vincent Sieber as producers.
