Gaza War Protest Reached Near Met Gala, New York

On Monday in New York, NYPD officers arrested pro-Palestinian protesters near the Met Gala. Hundreds of protesters marched across New York City on this Monday morning.

Protesters rallied from Manhattan to American Fashion on Monday. The rally was actively attended by pro-Palestine demonstrations. The gate of Columbia University was also part of the protest center.

The Met Gala attracts celebrities, fashion designers, and mass media attention. It is an annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

According to the New York Daily News around a dozen were arrested and hundreds gathered near the event area.

“Citywide Day of Rage for Gaza”- Organisers on X posted on Twitter.

A statement came by the side of the NYPD team. They stated, “as hundreds of spectators gathered to watch their favorite celebrities walk up the carpet at the annual @metmuseum Gala, your NYPD Officers were out there ensuring everyone’s safety and security.”
