Fullerton Warehouse Plane Crash: What We Know About the Tragic Accident
On Thursday a tragic plane crash in Southern California happened. After the horrific accident, there were two people dead, and 10 others hospitalized according to news reports.
According to the reports at 2:09 p.m., a small plane crashed into a commercial warehouse in Fullerton, Orange County. This crash led to a massive fire and damaged the building. The building was in use for furniture upholstery business.
Security footage from a nearby business showed the plane tilting on its side before crashing into the building. A fiery explosion followed, with thick black smoke rising from the scene.
Emergency crews came to action rapidly and worked on to control the fire and evacuated nearby businesses. The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is assisting with the response.
The Federal Aviation Agency identified the plane as a single-engine Van’s RV-10. According to the initial reports 2 deaths were reported, 10 hospitalized and, 8 others were treated on site.
This plane crash occurred near Fullerton Municipal Airport. The area is close to residential neighborhoods and commercial warehouses,and about 6 miles from Disneyland. So, it was a fortune that the these dense area are not in impact.
After the plane crash the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating about the cause of the crash that happened in Southern California.
