The interview between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and former President Donald Trump in a historic digital event has taken the internet by storm, garnering over 200 million impressions on Facebook. The much-awaited conversation, which was delayed by 45 minutes due to technical issues, eventually lasted two hours and became a global sensation.
Elon Musk took to X to highlight the live unfiltered interview with Trump. He said, “Almost all of the legacy media will trash the Trump conversation, thus driving total listeners probably past 200 million.”
Collin Rugg the co-owner of Trending Politics confirmed that Trump’s X handle garnered over 200 million impressions during the interview. The discussion featured Trump’s characteristic blend of contentious remarks, personal critiques, and bold assertions, with Musk providing occasional affirmations.
During the interview, Trump described Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race as a “coup,” claiming his debate performance was so dominant it forced Biden out. “I beat Biden so badly in the debate that he was forced out of the race — one of the greatest debate performances ever. Biden’s exit was a coup,” Trump asserted.
Musk Prepares for High-Stakes Interview with Trump: What to Expect
Reflecting on a past assassination attempt, Trump described the experience as “not pleasant,” emphasizing the surreal yet immediate recognition of the threat. “It was a hard hit. It was very, I guess you would say, surreal, but it was not surreal. You know, I was telling somebody, you have instances like this where you feel it’s a surreal situation. And I never felt that way. I knew immediately that it was a bullet,” he recounted.
In a move that marked his return to X after nearly a year on Truth Social, Trump shared a promotional collage with Musk ahead of the interview. The post read, “Donald J. Trump and Elon Musk live on X with a footer, ‘Monday 8 pm ET/5 pm PT,’” and included Trump’s playful wink caption: “Enjoy!”
