Americans are already giving some other reforms into the U.S. immigration policies following the return of Trump into the presidency through the 2024 U.S. presidential election. And as they say, to be preferred by the young and rich Indians, so-called investment and immigration by way of the EB-5 Investor Visa or Immigrant Investor Program will not be affected. This program, is still a stable option for the foreign investors who actively run the program with at least $ 800000 invested and creating more than ten employment for the Americans.

Even in Trump’s previous presidency as the 45th President of the United States of America, heavily against immigrants, the program did not change much. Despite the limits on other opportunities, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) kept issuing EB-5 visas for immigrants. This precedent means that while Trump may have certain campaign promises to fulfill during his second term, this may not happen since, like before, he will focus more on economic gains.

The extension of the program up to the year 2027 that was done under the Biden administration has served to put the program on a sounder foundation as an effective investment migration program. This long-term authorization will give more confidence to the potential investors, this will show how important the program is to the economy of the United States with or without the political leadership.

Binu Varghese, Regional Director – India at RIF Trust has insisted that the proposition that comes with the EB-5 is still intact. “While the campaign has sent my jaw descending to the floor at times, we’re expecting business as usual when it comes to the EB-5, due to its nonpartisan nature,” he says.

The present $ 800,000 investment threshold is also expected to remain constant, as well as its principal advantages, such as granting green cards and an opportunity to gain US citizenship after five years. As such, Indian HNWIs find it as a dependable path for attaining US residency while continuing to make the investment appealing even in the event of shifting politics.
