dhadak 2 trailer siddhanth chaturvedi triptii dimri pain and partiality
‘Dhadak 2’ helmed by Shazia Iqbal, is based on the Tamil language film written and directed by Mari Selvaraj ‘Pariyerum Perumal’. The adaptation is tweaked and changed for the Hindi audience with Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri portraying the star crossed lovers who are fighting the differences of the society.
With a promising caption, “It all begins with ek धड़क! ❤️” (It all starts with a Beat), Dharma dropped the trailer of ‘Dhadak 2’ on Friday. The trailer immediately attracts as both Siddhanth Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri are looking their part with minimal makeup. Chaturvedi is playing the role of Neelesh, an aspiring law student who meets an angelic figure, his classmate played by Triptii.
The two irrespective of anything else but their hearts fall for each other only to be separated by social differences like caste and class. While Siddhanth’s character looks equal parts ambitious and vulnerable, Triptii brings in a strong personality to her character, a deviation from the original Tamil story.
While the haunting tale of these two young lovers and their separation left unsaid in the original film, Shazia Iqbal takes the story in her hands and takes it down the path of fighting for one’s own rights and voicing their opinion.
‘Dhadak 2’ also has Ashish Chaudary, Vipin Sharma, Manjiri Pupala, Deeksha Joshi and others. It also has Shreyas Puranik as the Music Director while Sylvester Fonseca behind the camera. ‘Dhadak 2’ is releasing in theatres on 1 August 2025.
