Carney Rebuffs Trump’s “51st State” Comments in Victory Speech

Mark Carney the upcoming Canadian Prime Minister delivered his acceptance speech by opposing President Donald Trump‘s viewpoint of Canadian integration into the United States. “America is not Canada. And Canada will never, ever be a part of America in any way, shape or form”, Carney expressed strongly that Canada would never integrate with America during his 86% party voting victory. As central bank governor, he denounced Trump’s unfair tariffs and decided to continue Canada’s trade response until America showed respect.

Carney will take over for Justin Trudeau during the next few days as he guided both the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England previously.

A study of politics shows Mark Carney will start an election campaign before the required date in October 2025. Recent polls show 25% of Liberals lost their support since December making their party stand at 33% while the Conservative Party retains 39% support among voters.
