Trump’s Second Term Sees Investor Euphoria Fade as Markets Struggle

Trump said any farmer seeking safety can get a rapid pathway to US citizenship. He described South Africa as a “terrible” place to live right now and blamed a new land law for making life difficult for white farmers.

He claimed this law unfairly targets white Afrikaners, who make up only 7% of the population but own a large share of the farmland. Trump’s comments have added fuel to an ongoing diplomatic row with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
