Breaking News: Prime Minister of Slovakia-Robert Fico shot multiple times

Robert Fico, the president of Slovakia, was shot several times in an incident that happened northeast of Bratislava.

The multiple time shooting took place outside the House of Culture in Handlova after a government meeting.

Reports say that the Prime Minister went to greet people who were waiting outside when multiple shots were fired. He was rushed to the hospital, and the person who shot him has been arrested.

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Ľuboš Blaha, confirmed that government activities have been stopped because of the shooting.

“I was just going to shake his hand, when the shots rang out it almost deafened me”- an eye witness said.

“We must all unite against any form of violence. An attack on the Prime Minister is an attack on Slovak statehood and sovereignty. At this moment, it is necessary to do everything to calm society down.” Said František Majerský. František Majerský is a member of Christian Democratic Movement.
