biden administration marks pansexual and panromantic pride day amid mixed reactions
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) commemorated Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day with a message promoting inclusivity.
HHS posted on the X platform: “Today on Pansexual and Panromantic Pride Day, everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and supported—no matter who they love, Create a world where everyone feels proud to be themselves!”
This initiative by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services aimed to celebrate diversity but it faced wide criticism by prominent key figures like Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy and other conservatives too.
Elon Musk the CEO of Tesla also expressed his confusion. “At this point, I’m just confused. I have no idea what they even mean,” Musk wrote.
Another reaction came from Vivek Ramaswamy. He retweeted the ministry’s post with caption, “Switch this to “Lower Healthcare Costs Day” & we’d be making progress.”

Conservative voices, such as Stephen Miller and Jim Banks, criticized the administration’s focus.
Pansexuality is defined as attraction beyond gender. It reflects the connection with the individual. The day highlights the experiences of pansexual and panromantic people.
