There is a need to recharge your batteries after an exhausting week at work. Europe, with its compact, vibrant cities, provides the perfect destination for a two-day break. Without taking too much of your time, its efficient transport links and walkable city centres give an opportunity to soak in the culture, history, food, and relaxation. Here are some of the best European cities to consider for a weekend getaway.

1.    Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona offers the perfect mix if you are craving sun, sea, and culture. It requires just two days to wander through Gaudí’s architectural wonders like the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell, stroll down Las Ramblas, and indulge in tapas and sangria.
