Alcaraz trumps Sinner’s Comeback and wins Italian Open 2025 ahead of French Open

What was supposed to be the Italian World No.1 Jannik Sinner’s comeback victory was competitively dismantled by the consistent Spaniard who swiftly positioned himself at No.2 after the win at Italian Open 2025. All eyes were on the two youngsters who were playing in full heat at the Foro Italico in Rome.

Amid the cheering Italian fans holding ‘Forza Jannik’, the two set game was a tightrope for both the top ranked players who fought for the clay court title. Sinner at 23 has achieved 3 Grand Slam Singles while comfortably sitting at No.1 and is recovering from doping controversy that lead to three month suspension from February 2025.

Alcaraz found his rhythm against his rival, topping the points with 7 – 6 (5), 6-1, winning the Italian Open for the first time, jumping to No.2 at the ATP world ranking. A calculative run for Sinner who was dreaming of having a successful comeback, Csrlos Alcaraz thought of recording his seventh Masters 1000 title and 19th overall career titles. Going head to head, Alcaraz leads with 7 – 4 while also responsible for dotting Sinner’s 26 match streak, who holds a spectacular 41- 2 win streak, the two marked by Alcaraz.
