Abu Dhabi Talks Highlight Push for Sudan Humanitarian Truce and Regional Stability

Abu Dhabi diplomatic meetings at the highest level have revived international attention to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Sudan and the need for de-escalation in the region. The top officials of the United Arab Emirates held a positive dialogue with an American delegation and emphasized the need to establish a humanitarian truce to ease the conditions of the civilian population. The discussions were a result of increasing their concern about the effects of the long-lasting conflict on the ordinary people in Sudan, and also the spill-over effects on the security of the region.
