Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg Meets Trump: What’s Next for Tech and Politics?

Last updated on December 2nd, 2024 at 07:40 am

Big tech leaders are becoming supporters of upcoming administration of Donald Trump. We have noted the connection between Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk and Donald Trump

A new headline seeker is Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who has confirmed a meeting with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate. During the visit they discussed the future of innovation in America and upcoming changes under the leadership of Trump.

A spokesperson from Meta shared with The New York Post that Zuckerberg appreciated the opportunity to connect with Trump and his team. The meeting focused on understanding the plans for the new administration and its impact on technology and innovation.

Stephen Miller Trump’s soon-to-be deputy chief of policy staff also commented on this collaboration. Miller said, Zuckerberg supports reform movement of Trump and recognizes him as a key figure driving change. He added that other business leaders share a similar view. Relationship between Zuckerberg and Trump has grown with time. In 2021 Facebook and Instagram suspended account accounts following controversial posts. However, these accounts were reinstated in July 2024, ahead of the election. Trump later mentioned during a podcast that his relationship with Zuckerberg had improved, appreciating that Zuckerberg seemed to be “staying out of the election.”

Zuckerberg’s shift from previously supporting Democratic policies to aligning with Trump reflects a notable change in the tech world’s political dynamics. This evolving partnership signals the potential for significant collaboration between tech giants and the new administration.
