2025 NBA Draft First Round Night

2025 NBA Draft had its expected surprises and moments in the first round over the past 2 night Wednesday night at Barclays center in Brooklyn. Dallas swept the draft lottery even odds were just 1.8%, which puts them in the place to pick Duke sensation Cooper Flagg at the No. 1 overall spot.

In surprising the entire basketball community, the Dallas Mavericks won the lottery to get the first pick by beating the incredible odds to obtain the most desirable player in the draft. Flagg has been rated as the unanimous best player in this class and one of the best of the recent years. The Duke forward is special in his overall versatility and basketball understanding, all of which could be a huge asset to one of the franchises undergoing a transition with its older roster and younger talent.

The San Antonio Spurs made their choice in continuing their youth movement when they drafted Rutgers guard Dylan Harper as the second overall pick following Flagg. Philadelphia 76ers completed the top third picks by choosing Baylors VJ Edgecombe and bringing defense and athleticism to their backcourt, as well.
