U-Ask: UAE launches AI-powered chatbot to streamline government services
The United Arab Emirates has launched the U-Ask platform, a unified AI-powered chatbot to streamline government services, the Emirates News Agency reported on Tuesday. Citizens can now access the platform through the official portal of the UAE Government.
Using the power of generative AI technology, U-Ask enables users to access credible information about different government services in both English as well as Arabic, all in one place.
It provides tailored information based on their preferences, essential details regarding service requirements, and even direct links for applications.
U-Ask – developed in partnership with Microsoft and PwC Middle East – can address a number of different inquiries and requests, from basic information to complex requirements. It’s also designed to provide comprehensive answers, including relevant ways to apply for services.
The platform also delivers personalised suggestions and recommendations based on its user’s previous interactions and preferences.
According to Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, the minister of state for government development, the platform is part of the Emirati government’s digital efforts, which include improving system efficiency and integrating and coordinating projects.
U-Ask would address numerous different requirements of various groups and sectors both inside and outside the UAE, said Mohamed bin Taliah, the chief of government services.
